Medical Detoxification

Medical detoxification is the process of safely clearing addictive substances from the body under continuous medical supervision. At TGT Treatment in Ontario, California, our detox program is staffed 24 hours a day by physicians, registered nurses, and clinical specialists who monitor vital signs, manage withdrawal symptoms, and administer FDA-approved medications to ensure your comfort and safety.

Our medical detox program typically lasts 3 to 7 days, depending on the substance, duration of use, and individual health factors. Detox is the critical first step that prepares your body and mind for the therapeutic work ahead. Attempting to detox without medical support can be dangerous and even life-threatening, particularly with alcohol, benzodiazepines, and opioids.

Program Length Options

Research consistently shows that longer residential stays produce better outcomes, lower relapse rates, and more sustainable life changes.

30-Day Program

Foundation-level care ideal for individuals with shorter substance use histories or strong external support systems. Builds core coping skills and relapse prevention strategies.

60-Day Program

Extended care that allows deeper therapeutic work, addressing underlying trauma, behavioral patterns, and co-occurring mental health conditions with greater thoroughness.

90-Day Program

Our most comprehensive option, associated with the strongest long-term outcomes. Provides time for lasting behavioral change, family repair, and robust aftercare planning.

Outpatient Programs

Our outpatient programs provide structured addiction treatment while allowing you to live at home and maintain work, school, or family obligations. These programs serve as both a primary treatment option and a step-down from residential care at our Ontario, California facility.

TGT Treatment offers three distinct levels of outpatient care -- Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), and Standard Outpatient -- each designed to provide the appropriate intensity of support based on your stage of recovery. All outpatient programs incorporate the same evidence-based therapies used in our residential program, including CBT, DBT, group therapy, individual counseling, and family therapy.

Dual Diagnosis Treatment

Nearly half of individuals struggling with addiction also experience a co-occurring mental health disorder. At TGT Treatment, we believe that treating both conditions simultaneously is essential for lasting recovery. When one condition goes untreated, it often undermines recovery from the other.

Our integrated dual diagnosis approach ensures that both substance use and mental health issues receive equal clinical attention from the same treatment team. Licensed psychiatrists, therapists, and counselors use evidence-based modalities including CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, and psychiatric medication management to treat the whole person.
